The Kanab City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Kane County Commission Chambers, 76 North Main, Kanab, Utah.

Mayor Laycook began her first term as mayor in January 2010, having first served 2 years on the Kanab City Council.

Council Member Joe B. Wright

Councilman Wright began his first term in January 2012.  He previously served on the the Kanab City Planning Commission for eight years

Council Member Cheryl Brown

Councilwoman Brown was appointed in April 2011 and began a new term in January 2012, and she previously served on the Kanab City Parks and Recreation Board for many years.
