Any fee owner, as shown on the last county assessment rolls, of land within the subdivision that has been laid out and platted as provided in this part may, in writing, petition the legislatvie body to have the plat, any portion of it, or any street or lot contained in it, vacated, altered, or amended as provided in the Kanab City Subdivision Ordinance.
  6. Plat Amendment Application

    Following completion of the initial application process, an applicant shall complete and submit an application form for a plat amendment, the application shall include:

    1. Please include with this application per Section 2-4 of Kanab City Subdivision Ordinance:
      1. An amended final plat prepared in accordance with the applicable final plat requirements outlined in Section 2-3 or other document for recording as requested by the City including:
        • Subdivision Name
        • Name and address of applicant, engineer or surveyor
        • Name of Owners of the land to be subdivided
        • Boundary dimensions and legal description of subdivision and each lot therein within 0.010’ with point of beginning clearly labeled
        • Minimum scale of 1” = 50’
        • Proposed streets, parks, open spaces and other offers of public dedications, showing widths and pertinent dimensions of each
        • Existing rights-of-way and easement grants of record for streets
        • North arrow
        • Latest date on each sheet
        • Acreage or square footage for all parcels or lots and the length and width of the blocks and lots intended for sale
        • Legend of symbols
        • All survey monuments
        • All streets indicating numbers and/or names and lots numbered consecutively
        • Location, width, center-line bearings and curve data (including delta angle, radius, length, tangent and the long cord on curves) and other dimensions of all existing proposed or platted streets and easements
        • Streets, lots and properties within two-hundred feet (200’) surrounding the subdivision shown in ghost lines
        • Approval signature block for: Owner’s dedication and acknowledgement
        • Surveyor’s stamped certificate with subdivision boundary legal description
        • City Surveyor’s approval, City Engineer’s approval, City Attorney’s approval, Director of Public Work’s approval, Planning Commission acceptance, City Council approval and County Recorder’s certificate
      2. List of street addresses for each lot shown on the amended final plat, numbered in accordance with Kanab City address grid system
      3. Owners of Record, provide the following:
        • Names and addresses of all owners of record of the land contained in entire plat
        • Name and addresses of all owners of record of land adjacent to any street that is proposed to be vacated, altered or amended
        • Signature of each of these owners who consents to the petition
      4. Mailing Labels
        • If a public hearing notice is required under this ordinance, provide two (2) sets of type written address labels to all property owners within 300 feet of the property that is the subject of the proposed plat change plus the affected subdivision, addressed to the owner’s mailing address appearing on the rolls of the Kane County Assessor
      5. Subdivision Improvement Plans
        • Subdivision construction improvement plans for grading, drainage, streets and utility infrastructure as modified by the proposed amendment, as required in accordance with the Kanab City Uniform Standards for Design and Construction.
      6. Title Report (dated within 30 days)
      7. Any additional items that may be requested during the initial application process.
      8. Signature and Acknowledgement; By signing the Plat Amendment application form, the applicant acknowledges
        • That the applicant or agent of the applicant has read the Subdivision Ordinance
        • That the applicant understands the provisions of the Subdivision Ordinance; and
        • That the applicant will fully and completely comply with the provisions and requirements contained therein.
